Trip to UK ( Changing the attitude)

We went o UK in July – Aug for 2 weeks. I felt so much like home and Ajey’s first reaction was everything so small . That got me thinking how different generation we were.

I grew up in India with just enough for everybody and he is growing up in USA with in excess with everything. Everything is big, Big??? No Its huge. I have been here for 11+ years and somehow I got used to it but this trip to UK made me rethink where we are going. The slowing world economy might have made people realize ( I hope so) that we are on the wrong track. I am trying hard to change the way we live in our home. I don’t need that 3 rd TV anymore. I have enough jackets to last me for next 10 winters.  Surprised to myself I just didn’t rush for school shopping. I opened my drawers first and when I went shopping I stuck to the list, nothing extra. I am not sure how long this will last but I am sure my wallet will be happy with my new habit.

Start from groceries to stuff in the house.. from books to music .. from clothes to shoes ( look who is talking) we have everything “too many” need to work on that and then will see if my son says the same things again in few years :)

Hello Everyone :) - My first Blog

I have been thinking about this for a long time - real long and finally I could start today.

Hopefully for you it’s worth the time. I had been a writer in the past, Things were different then :) Hindi was my language and the sky was the limit. Let’s see how much I can do with "borrowed language".

Let me start with what I have in mind -

First of all I love to travel and when I go places I just don’t enjoy it , I live it to the fullest and every time I come back with the ideas to improve the experience. I tell my friends the to-do’s and don’t. I am a planner so thought of giving it a try to put it out there in 'cloud" so somebody could use the information too.

Then we go through so many things/stuff every day. My journey as a daughter, wife and mom then as a person makes me what I am today and I would be happy to share those "weird" thoughts :)
